Yes... My Gynae already announced that my cervix is opened 2 to 2.5cm yesterday! He even wanted me to admit hospital for induction this morning but C n I were not prepared at all!!! We choose to wait for a few more days as I really wish I can give birth naturally. I mean it's better for me n baby too.
Again, my clinic asked me to consider epidural as Gynae feels I can't tahan the pain with my low level of threshold for pain. I thought since I can tahan aggressive laser for my skin, I can oso tahan the pain for the sake of xuan ting! But seems like my vaginal area is more sensitive... Really dunno if I can withstand the strong contractions when it's at it's peak or not.. *shivers.
In the end, we have booked Monday, 28th nov if by then xuanting is still not out yet. I'm talking to her in hope that she will be smaller than 3kg in size so that I wun tear or néed any episiotomy. In that way, when I can recover faster, she got more milk to drink too. Lol~ so far she's been very obedient from last week's 3.2kg to this week's 3kg.
Hoping for the best...

Emo emo emo...
Yes, I'm emo and angry... Why can't C just maintain basic hygiene in brushing teeth at night? U can watch tv until late in e night and lazy to brush teeth when u can just settle within 1min to have a quick brush?
When I ramble on too much, I become the nagging party...I'm not hiam-ing C at all but if just by doing something u should be doing in e first place and that will help improve the relationship, why can't you make it a habit? It's all about personal hygiene and if u know that by not brushing teeth, ur snoring will smell, just brush ur teeth!
I'm not a cleanliness freak here. I can live with dust but I'm particular about smell. It's not that I choose to but since young, I'm rather sensitive to smell, it can be body odor, sweat etc... I just feel if you know it, you should understand but unfortunately, not for C.

Start of Hospitalization Leave
Yup, from yesterday 3rd oct, I've officially started my HL. No more waking up early in e morning feeling nauseous and giddy. Talking of this, I really appreciate my sch p to be understanding even if he just dun wan me to disrupt the sch's operation.
Yesterday, I had two breads and milo for breakfast, afterwhich i spent the entire afternoon surfing gmart, looking at bb's stuff like xuanting's headband n leg warmers. Hee hee. So pretty and cute! Best of all, they are so cheap lor~ :p
My Laogong had time off in e morning for his doc appointment. He had one of his fingers fractured and it's been quite some time but his finger is still recovering rather slowly. Luckily, xray shows that the crack has healed and now, it's just physiotherapy. We had Mac lunch at home so that he can have some rest to slack around before heading for work. After lunch, I had a pear and green apple in e evening.
At night, I met up with Gera and Sis at serangoon nex for dinner at pasta mania. Mainly, gera is to get updates regarding sis's life as she's kind of facing major change right now. But I believe she will be able to get her happiness in time to come because we really strive hard for our future.
Today, woke up at 12plus with the cooling rainy weather at work, had a glass of milk with 4 breads for brunch. Planning to cook dinner with Laogong and most likely will be having Teo chew porridge with a few side dishes.
Ltr I'm planning to tidy up part of my mountainous pile of clothes and wash up soiled clothing. Lol~ quite a lot of chores lining up to occupy my time... >.<
Hopefully xuanting will make my delivery smooth and short. (^人^)heard from Gera that her sister, step had her vaginal cut near her buttock during her delivery. Gosh!!! 想到就怕!

SA2 exams week
Next week will be the start of my school's SA2 exams which means I have to start my mad marking rush again. Sis still hao-Lian to me that she no longer needs to fret over it le... -_-||| well, in e past, we always meet up at night to either study (for my degree exams) or do our markings together. Now, can only depends on my hubby chris to accompany me to the Mac le.
These few days will be busy chiong-ing my class compo. Talking of which, I was kena complained by a parent for letting my class copy too many compos? For every compo, my class did a rewrite as correction and a model compo. To save the environment, I did not photocopy my model compo (did on my own) for e whole class. Instead, those who finish first will lend their copy to their classmates and I give the class ample time, like at least 2 weeks to complete? Spelling compo is in addition to their normal unit spellings as part of their compo training. I'm doing extra for their child, marking extra and this is the norm for sch teachers who wants the best for their class and yet, I'm being complained???? (♯`∧´) I can jolly well don't do these to save myself from all e markings.... Can't understand what these parents are thinking...
When Xuan ting din move for a few hours today, I was kind of panicked and sat still for a moment to feel her. Luckily, she did move and I was relieved. Scary sia~

Hospitalization leave
After checking moe hr online FAQ site and calling up hr infor line, I found out that even if my private Gynae at hll women's clinic issued hospitalization leave (hl) for me, moe will not accept too as they only accept government/restructured hospitals' doctors endorsement. :((
However, should there be special cases like in mine, I'm going to deliver at mount A hospital (private), and Gynae issued me hl, hr dept will first deduct 14 days of ordinary sick leave (working days), followed by 10 days of extension sick leave (with 4yrs of service in moe) and finally, 15 days of special sick leave (applies to all moe education officers). The total of additional 25 days will be in calendar days, including weekends. Henceforth, I wouldn't be getting no pay leave in that case. I've since clarified with my school's admin stuff and she has confirmed the policy.
This year at my 4th year of service, I will be getting my connect plan too. The other day, my school admin staff asked if I'm really serious in tendering after my maternity leave. I told her that still have to fulfill one month and she replied so confirm le huh? Well, I think I have endured long enough for the sake of $ and of course, with me being pregnant, a wise choice will be to stay in moe but it's really time to pursue my own career thereafter. Moreover, I will be able to get my degree cert next year, so it's like just nice. ϵ( 'Θ' )϶
I really can't wait but at the same time, it also means I will be delivering soon. To give birth naturally, I can't help feeling nervous. Imagine the pain!!! Oh my!!! Must stop the thought before I go crazy... \(//∇//)\

Sleeping postures
Another sleepless night....
I was chatting with another pregnant teacher in school yesterday and she shared with me that indeed she too faced the problem in waking up several times in the middle of the night just to find herself peeing a little... How pek Chey it can feel... She's already a mummy of 2 and it's her third child that she is bearing now. She advised me that in our third trimester, its best to sleep half lying with pillow supporting my back (somewhat like slouching while sitting down) as now, by sleeping sideways (feasible when you're in 1st and 2nd trimester), pregnant ladies will feel uncomfortable too as the baby feels you are pressing her down. Of course, pregnant ladies will find difficulties sleeping by laying flat on the bed as the baby is too heavy in pulling the tummy against the gravity. I goggled some infor on sleeping postures and here's what I have compiled:
(courtesy of babycenter by Donna Arand, sleep expert and American pregnancy association sites):
'Why am I so uncomfortable in my normal positions?
When you are pregnant your body goes through a variety of changes. These changes tend to disrupt your usual peaceful slumber. Reasons may include:
Increased size of abdomen (checked! :()
Back pain (checked! :()
Heartburn (checked! :()
Shortness of breath (checked! :()
Insomnia (checked! :()
What are the best sleep positions?
The best sleep position during pregnancy is "SOS" (sleep on side). In particular, sleeping on your left side may benefit your baby by improving blood flow – and therefore nutrients – to the placenta. It also helps your kidneys efficiently eliminate waste products and fluids from your body, which in turn reduces swelling in your ankles, feet, and hands. Keep your legs and knees bent and a pillow between your legs.
If you find that you are having problems with back pain, use the "SOS" position and try placing a pillow under your abdomen as well.
If you are experiencing heartburn during the night, you may want to try propping your upper body with pillows.
In late pregnancy you may experience shortness of breath; try lying on your side or propped up with pillows.
These suggestions may not sound completely comfortable, especially if you are used to sleeping on your back or stomach, but try them out and you may find that they work. Keep in mind that you may not stay in one position all night and rotating positions is fine.
What positions should I avoid?
Sleeping on your back: This can cause problems with backaches, breathing, digestive system, hemorrhoids, low blood pressure and decrease in circulation to your heart and your baby. This is a result of your abdomen resting on your intestines and major blood vessels (the aorta and vena cava). Back sleeping can make blood pressure drop, causing some expectant moms to experience dizziness. On the other hand, in some moms-to-be it can make blood pressure go up.
Finally, back sleeping can cause snoring and, with increased weight, could lead to sleep apnea.
Sleeping on your stomach: When you are farther along in your pregnancy, your abdomen undergoes physical changes and makes it more difficult for you to lay on your stomach.'
I will be trying out sleeping half lying position with pillows supporting my back now and observe if the uncomfortableness persists. Also, i have to work out a solution to utilize my leaves so as not to get no pay leave and yet, at the same time can ensure my baby's health will not be affected by my work. :((
